Individual (Adult) Schema Therapy certification workshops

Module 1
This three-day workshop will help attendees gain a good understanding of the Schema Therapy model and provide a platform for learning skills and techniques used in Schema Therapy. It will provide significant role-play and experiential practice, and will also focus on BPD and its treatment. The workshop may be attended stand-alone or as the first of three workshops in the Schema Therapy certification programme. It covers:
- Basic theory of Schema Therapy: schema and mode models
- Client schema assessment and education
- Cognitive strategies
- Experiential strategies: imagery and chair work
- Limited re-parenting techniques
- Practice of experiential and change phase techniques
- Behavioural pattern breaking
Modules 2 and 3
This four-day workshop expands and deepens knowledge gained in module 1 and looks at the application of core Schema Therapy theory and techniques with specific complex presentations. It covers:
- Recap of Schema Therapy model
- In-depth look at using the Schema Therapy model with:
- Cluster C personality disorders
- Narcissistic personality disorder
- Complex trauma
- Eating disorders
- Further practice in chair and imagery re-scripting work
- Discussion of the supervision and certification process
